Islamorda Offshore and Deep Sea Fishing Trips
Islamorda in the Florida Keys offers unique opportunities to catch the fish of a lifetime! The Marathon Humps are only a short half hour boat ride away and are home to some of the most exciting tuna fishing available anywhere in the world. Using live bait, the captain chums the tuna into a frenzy right behind the boat. All you have to do is present your hooked offering and hold on. Using live bait to catch Blackfin and occasionally Yellowfin tuna is both fun and exciting, as you can see the fish take your bait, sometimes skyrocketing out of the water.
Islamorada also offers an abundance of other offshore game fish including Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Kingfish, Wahoo, Tarpon and bottom fish along the reef line and local wrecks including Amberjack, Snapper and Grouper.
Swordfish are the largest and most powerful offshore game fish you can target out of Islamorada. Often called the gladiator of the deep, Swordfish live in 1,600 to 2,000 feet of water and can be caught during the day, and at night. Depending on the time of year, Fins & Feathers Charters offers combo trips allowing you to fish the reef edge and then target Swordfish after dark for the fishing experience of a lifetime.
